FreeRice.com is a website in which you can guess what a word means. For every word that you guess correctly 20 grains of rice will be donated through the UN’s World Food Program. I have just heard about this and just started playing it. I find this to be a great way to help out ending world hunger.
This is a very interesting. For one hour people and places around the world turn out their lights and power. Even Google turned out their lights (sort of) by making the Google homepage black though the search results remain in white. It’s sort of like http://blackle.com and http://blackgoogle.com Anyhow I was unable to do this because I had some events going on at the time. Though, I do plan to do this next year. I really support this and would like to see this help our earth.
